Friend had this problem on his '97. Heater core :grenade: It eventually stopped putting out heat all together. Sent from my Galaxy S2 using Tapatalk 2
alright so i just had to go pull my girlfriend out of her aunt and uncles yard...mustangs and snow dont mix. anyways, the whole 30-40 minute drive there i didnt smell a thing samething on the drive back to my house. i had the heat blasting and no coolant smell at all. kinda odd. when this happened to me i was driving and had some old person pull out infront of me on a 50 mph road. kinda ticked me off a bit so i punched the gas and went around them. that is when i smelt the coolant. the whole drive home i could smell it. but like i said now i dont smell a thing and the heat comes out just fine...i see no leaks underneath and no leaks on the passenger side floor.
Little chunk of rust or something could've flowed into the pinhole plugging it. Full throttle the water pump would be spinning at much faster rate so could've loosened old little rust chunk or something an it flowed into the pinhole plugging it off
Would be awesome to have a Milwaukee M-Spector M12 camera to view the heater core with it still inside the heat/air box.
that would be sweet. i could try to get my hands on one. i tried everything yesterday to get the smell to come back out but all i get it hot air. i hit some big bumps, slammed the gas, stopped fast, everything to maybe try to shake the core a little.
no man. i didnt notice any yesterday. ill go take a look this morning. gotta put some warm clothing on first, its fricken cold out lol
