Trim piece fits flush with the dash to where it all flows smoothly.

    X-pipe came in

It was some fancy dancy stuff I bought it through the shop account but it was still a pretty penny. Center console build thread can be done I have pictures from when it was a twinkle in my eye to what it is now!

    The Center console journey:

I went into it with barely any audio experience, and absolutely no experience building boxes. My buddy Vinny made this all possible, he's been doing car audio longer than I've been alive (I'm 22). It started like most things do, sitting around with friends at a bar having a beer talking women and cars. Next thing I knew I had 4 10" subs and 8 6.5" midranges.

went by a lot of audio shops and got estimates ranging from $800-$1200 for a plain jane carpeted box which honestly wasn't what I wanted. I was about to sell everything when I met Vinny and he decided to show me the ways.

Cut first piece with jig saw, then used the router to cut a matching piece

    Test fitting in the truck:

Now through some secrets of the trade the top took shape, sorry ya'll cant disclose all those details:

    Cutting the baffle:

Baffle in place, subs mocked up:

at this point the console was sealed, we put it in the truck and listened to it. The subs were really begging for a ported enclosure so after some calculations with some packing peanuts and some fancy computer software the console was ported and tuned to 35hz

We wrapped the console and it just didnt really transition smoothly so we peeled everything off and decided to make a trim piece to break it up

Foam on top for comfort of course

    A look at the port

Getting ready to put the carpet on the side so it would transition nicely onto the floor carpet:

Console was installed and is playing currently without the trim piece on it

    Looking great Ivan!
I used to cringe when I saw how they
attached center consoles at the chassis upfitter
back in the 1990's. (Choo Choo Customs)
Wood screws thru the wood bottom panel into the floorpan.
Later they changed it to metal L brackets and sheet metal screws.
