I wouldn't touch that F250 with a 10 foot poll. If the motor was stock, or even JUST had the studs and egr I would say consider it, but with all the performance upgrades on it, it's a ticking time bomb. I watched a good friend pour thousands into one very similar and had it go 3 times. first with only the performance upgardes on. Pumped tons of power but the motor couldn't handle it. Second time it blew after getting an egr valve delete and new temp sensor for turbo. third time after putting head studs in. They just simply can't handle the extra power and hot rodding around. People keep buying diesels for run around town, daily drivers instead of what they're built for. If you/he's really wanting a diesel get a 7.3(good luck finding one without a million miles) or a 5.9 doge. Both great motors that can handle extra performance and being driven in the city all day.

Also, on that other bid, of what...24,000? If it was me i'd hold out, I may settle for a price around that but i'd want to start the bidding somewhere more around the 27,000 mark and let it work down to around there.

Thats so true, even though compared to many here, mines not near as high. after lifting it, it's definately a strain to constantly get in and out of, or get anything out of the toolbox. I need one of those sissy steps the newer trucks have

These guys bring up some strong points... obviously i would have gotten myself in a world of crap! But i always forget about the issues with the 6.0. You may have answered this already, but why the interest in a new ride? Are you like me and just get bored quickly? Or are you after something specific you cant accomplish with the current (and very nice) truck?

I think it would be a decent trade. I doubt he'll get more than $24k for a 5y/o truck, especially with how far all the new ones have come.
Trade if the diesel has less than 150k, sell if you want to use it as a down payment, or keep it if you're lazy :jester:

This. I've seen used 2011+ F150's with under 30k on the clock for around $26k. Mods don't mean as much as we'd like them to. If he likes the diesel, most of the leg work has been done on the 6.0 (studs, egr delete) and then he can talk to Jake (agJake11) about bulletproofing the rest of it.
