Theres so damn many trucks I wanna look at, just found another today. 2004 f150 reg cab short box with the 4.6. I had a 4.6 in my old truck and it was alright, i could burnout all day long. Im just worried about not having enough snort under the hood. whats the best thing to do to find power in the 04-08 4.6 motors?

I'm with these guys, do it unless you are gonna tow alot with it. We've got a 03 at work with a 5.4, its a 2wd but its got plenty of power for general driving around.

In 04 the 4.6 changed has more Ho and tq than the older 5.4 just saying my two cents anyone who drove my old one couldn't believe I could spin my 35's that easy and always on accident

The 4.6 motors havent had more hp and tq than any of the 5.4 years? how well did your old truck do pulling trailers or gettin up to speed on the freeway?

The 3v 4.6 motors are reliable and put out decent power. For a grocery getter they're great. Change gears and they do well towing too. Ask Vano about his old truck. I think J Wal has one also.

I pulled just fine and as far as freeway speed perfect it hopped up there and always had plenty left on the pedal when you needed it
