I would take a week vacation if needed for sure. Maybe you can locate new supports online? If not, I dont see how tubing will work, unless you add something where the body will be to sit flat.

i think the steel tubing would be too thick and i dont need to replace the whole bar, just portions of it. im just wondering if sheet metal would work if i bend it and weld it in place.

a weeks vacation? lol i aint working right now man lol. im still laid off for another few weeks. ground is still frozen. i do need my truck to get to and from school though.

    >.> i dont keep tabs on people and their work status lol. I dont see why you couldnt replace sections of it. But why half-ass it and do parts? Do the whole thing so it will be one less thing down the road.

I would use something like .090 or .125 thick piece of steel to weld in for a patch anything thinner would be too weak imo.

Pretty sure factory frames are 3/16". No need to bend the angle. Grind 45s run strap across inside seam. weld it and then cut an patch the frame.

got some metal welded, grinded and flappered. came out pretty good.

the pieces fit perfectly in place, just gotta cut the old **** out.
