well, i sealed up the exhaust today. jacked the truck up and figured the clunk out (i'm pretty sure) started checking bolts and was able to tighten one of my lower A arm bolts about 3/4 of a turn, sway bar bracket was a little loose as well.. kept looking around and noticed the top bolt which holds my caliper to my knuckle was hanging on for dear life .... freaking ridiculous. no wonder it would clunk so loud when i drove over something, the dang caliper was shifting :grenade: i guess the vibrations slowly backed the bolt out. now i know why the instructions say to re-torque bolts after every couple of thousand miles.
My pass side lower caliper bolt jumped ship, felt grinding, and stopped after it was really affecting my braking... Yup it was pushing the caliper out and into the inside of my wheel... Had a nice groove all the way around. That sucked!
Same thing happened to me after the shop did my gears!! F***** idiots. It turned my wheel brown and I had to clean the **** out of it. Sent from my Galaxy S3
That caliper bolt coming loose deal is more common then you may think. Sent from my iPhone 5 using Tapatalk
Yup. When I went into reverse it chewed up the inside even worse. I could hardly back up but there was 20" of snow on the ground so I just parked where I didn't have to reverse lol the color of the line is what my rim color is in comparison to the brown **** that it spit all over my wheel.
