Thanks yall gonna try and get it finished up this weekend since I'm off work. The plan is to do them directly onto the door and texture and paint grey to match the factory door panel.
Got fleece that matches the panel in case I don't get to finish body work and such, I don't wanna be the guy with the barney fleece under all the resin because it was the cheapest at the store haha.\ Passenger side mirrored off the drivers side please excuse the mud on the panels lol, still havent had a chance to clean them. Hopefully I'll be almost done with them by Sunday.
Ivan, what speakers are you putting in? what would you recommend for normal door speakers? 2way? 3way? Im leaning towards 3 way.
I'm using Soundstream SME 6.5s they are a pro audio mid range, sort of a PA style speaker. I can't say I've ever ran a 3 way speaker only componets or 2 ways. If you want a pocket friendly 6x8 that fits directly in the doors I recommend Kicker KS68s you can usually find them on amazon and ebay dirt cheap, that's what I've been running in the truck for the past 2 years. You're gonna want to put an amp to them to get the most out those though, even though a lot of people say head unit power is enough.
Here is a picture of the speakers I'm using, as you can see far beefier than your everyday car audio speaker.
Got a little bit done today..... waiting until Monday to do the resin My dad helping out.... He asks me what I'm doing sees it and goes oh boy your mom is gonna kill you, immediately starts helping me haha.
