My 2007 5.4 is starting to cut out. Feels like maybe fuel pump trouble. I've had plugs replaced recently. Filled it yesterday and then the wife drove it and it just out of no where the engine started cutting out. Not missing, cutting out. Nurse it to speed to get it to go.

I agree with destination fx4. Check the FPDM (Fuel Pump Driver Module) it is located on the driver side frame rail above the spare tire. Look through your left rear fender. The module has an aluminum body and is bolted to a steel frame with not much clearance. The fpdm body likes to corrode up to the point where you get a hole in the module and then it goes haywire. It would be a good idea to replace the fuel fikter either way unless replaced recently.
