Yeah, it's the same. I didn't know if fluids would pour out if I pulled it. I'll do that tomorrow.

Dealer said they would cover the cost of the seal if I paid labor, which is $175. Not too shabby, if I say so myself.

Would my transmission overheating cause it to leak? It hasn't leaked all week, and then I hauled some big trunk pieces yesterday and it's leaking again. Someone had suggested I get a transmission cooler, maybe it would help. Thoughts?

id have to say that you have a crack someplace, and it becomes more evident as you work the truck. heavy hauls and long trips heat things up, and that causes expansion as we all know. get under there, give everything a good cleaning so the next trip you make, you know for sure where it is coming from. it sucks cleaning under the truck (ive done this before for an oil leak as well) but it does make finding the problem area a bit easier.

Have you checked your bell housing for cracks? it thought I saw one in one of your pics, but not sure if it was just the angle or what not...

the trans cooler will help the situation, but I would not use it solely as a fix to the problem, more like a bandaid.

Alright, I cleaned it up real good before going to pick up a check in Fayette. This is what I've got.

It appears to start at or around the starter:

And then continues down the side of the housing onto the exhaust:

I'm assuming the fluid that is on the bottom is from it blowing back whole traveling:

I haven't found any cracks yet. I am going to try and drop it off somewhere this weekend and let them check it.
