Please help asap. I am replacing the rusted out brake lines and anything else ravaged by age and rust in the brake system. It's starting to look like it's everything. There is one component I don't recognize and need help identifying it. I think it's the proportioning valve but I haven't seen one like this before. The truck is a 93 F350 diesel dually and it has rear wheel abs. The part is between the master cylinder and the rabs valve. It has 2 brake line ports, one in from the master cylinder and one out to the rabs valve. There is what looks like a switch of some kind that has a 2 wire connector on it. What is this component? After over an hour at the Ford dealership looking at their pitiful pictures and part numbers, it's been determined that the mystery component is hydraulic pressure switch to disable the cruise when the brakes are applied, intended to be a fail-safe in case the vacuum pump dies. I simply cut the line into this "T", which comes from the master cylinder, and cut the line going out of the RABS valve, added a fitting and double flare to both lines and joined them with a coupling. This bypasses them both and fixed my leak and my drifting brake pedal. I'll add an electric switch to the brake pedal to replace the function of the hydraulic pressure switch. I'll shoot a few pics tomorrow of the switch and of my hack bypass job. Thanks for wanting to help. Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk 2
