Trick flows ftw.. Not a huge fan of AFR's the trick flow 170's flow about what AFR 185's do.. It's all in the design..

Plus the springs that come in AFR's aren't as good IMO..

I just had my heads decked 3 angle valve job, new hardened seats, guides, cut for bigger valves, new valves, seals, springs, ported, polished. Done along with .040 over on the block and trw forged aluminum pistons, 292h cam, completely bobweighted and balanced, all new bearing of course, crank turned and new pushrods and balancer and basically completely rebuilt plus the upgrades for $1600

But I kinda knew the guy that did it so it helped alot. I'd budget $2500

So say a 460, for head work, bored, new pistons and maybe connecting rods, and cam and rockets etc, how much? I can get a 429 for 200-350, then buy a balanced and turned crank for 50 on Craigslist.

call the shops in your area to find out. The price your going to get is going to be different from what the guys in Texas see and what California see's vs what Georgia see's honestly that's the best way to find out.

You can't get a pre balanced crank, the whole point of balancing is with the pistons and rotating assembly you'll use it with...
