Alright so I have been thinking about one now since I got the truck. Some people say they are night and day difference and some people say they arent worth the money. What would you guys think? And what brand would you buy? I feel like they are all about the same as far as brand goes because what would the difference be?
if you have an 04-05 a CAI is going to make you run lean and throw codes unless you have custom tunes to fix that. honestly, the gotts mod with a K&N drop in filter is just as good as a $200 CAI.
Have you heard anything about removing the Air Baffles from the factory intake tube? Would that help with Gotts mod?
The baffles don't do much, I removed mine to make it look cleaner. the Gotts mod and a good filter like AFE will do everything a CAI would and for a lot cheaper
With CAI, expect to gain 0-10hp max increase. If you want to really want to see improvement, you need a good exhaust and headers.
