You have a great looking truck. I too would never run tall tires. The biggest I would go would be the factory 20" Lariat wheels with 285s. I don't take my truck offroading at all, it's a worktruck that earns me money. I would avoid Dynomax but you already got it. I had Dynomax previously and it fell apart and it was absolute dog piss. I don't know if I posted the thread on here but I definitely posted it on another forum. My Borla rocks. When it comes to exhaust manufacturers, I can personally recommend Borla, Corsa, Stainless Works, Dynatech, Akrapovic, Fabspeed and Kreissieg. These are all manufacturers that I have dealt with in the past and are world class.
I appreciate your input on the situation and I agree about running big tires. 285 is plenty for me because i dont do any serious offroading. I just got my Dynomax Race Bullet installed today at the local muffler shop. It is part number 24215 which is a 16 inch overall length with 2.5 inch inlet and outlet. In the short trip I have taken I like the sound and it doesnt pop much at all, I did notice a slight loss in low end but the Edge Evolution I just ordered should take care of that. It does have a drone at highway speed but I expected that so I'll get used to it. Uploaded with ImageShack.com
Hey guys for a little while now the truck has a slight squealing noise when starting. Im pretty sure its the tensioner wearing out. its does it after sitting cold for a while and it goes away after a couple seconds. What you think?
Spray some lubricant on the pulley, if the noise stops, replace it. Otherwise it's just the belt. sent from my igloo
either tensioner or idler pulley. just do not spray belt dressing on the belt. makes it 10 times worst
already put in a new belt, but like i said it only does it for a few seconds so im assuming its the tensioner.
Alright I finally got some time today to put in my leveling kit. Anybody got any helpful tips for putting it in. I realized that I need to get deep well sockets to remove the strut mounting bolt.
