No idea, but that sounds sexy.

 

i believe it entails pulling the whole top end off. they should be just under the heads if i am not mistaken. but i have never worked on that engine. just know where the cams on my 4.6 were.

 

Yea cams aren't bad, Easiest way without degreeing them is valve covers and timing cover off so you can mark the chains and then you can install the cams with the stock timing.

 

This is when I was replacing my chains and tensioners, this is how far you'll have to tear it down

 

for the farthest back bolts was it crammed in there?

 

For the valve cover? Yea they're tight

 

Ok first throw a 3" body lift on, that'll make the engine work way easier

I should have put cams in mine but we didn't know how to properly set them with the engine timing. Getting them in and out isn't too hard of a job though.

 

HA yeah Id rather not do a BL.

 

Act like you got a big boy truck and do a cab off install. Prolly could get away w/ unbolting it but barely lifting it so you didn't have to replace cab seals and crap.

 

good news! last week in sept. my parents are going out of town....for a week. therefore everyday that week I will be trying to figure out my suspension. sadly I dont think I willl get my project completly done, I still need a pair of stock spindles so I can use the snout in my new spindles, however I should be able to figure out where I want to put everything and possibly start getting stuff welded on.. WOOT!
