see from what i read, the external mic needs a battery because the 3.5mm jack on the gopro doesn't have power going to it so the mic needs its own source of power. Where did you mount the mic?
letting the go pro and wireless remote charge up then it's video time also gotta drill the hole in the case
Wahhhht???!! I'm bout to hit up wally world. I need to get the dust of my gopros and make some videos. Let us know how you like the mic
wait, upon closer inspection i'm stupid. The hero 3 doesn't have a 3.5mm jack, it has a mini usb. which means i need the go pro adapter that adapts the 3.5mm jack into mini usb. I swear go pro makes that only adapter, i figured the general electronics store would have it. Such a simple concept of an adapter but damnit it does not exist besides the go pro adapter. Even better best buy has every single go pro accessory there is EXCEPT that little f*cking adapter i swear little things like this piss me off more than it should. now i have to order it. i hate waiting
no no it was only $12 on amazon but i paid an extra $4 to make sure that little piece of thing was here tomorrow
That's the same mic my brother and I both have You can here how good the sound quality is in the last video of his I posted here He has his zip tied into his car and doesn't take it out since his car doesn't go out when it's wet I superglued the foam mic cover on, it comes off very easily but it also reduces a lot of wind notice and background noise that you don't want or I'd have just thrown it away I have always heard the hero3 black editions have good mica but the silvers are the same as hero2 which suck
