    probably because the 4v can rev so high and is a better setup for turbo

    no it did, i was refering to swaping the SC on.

    If you're going with the route of supercharging I would highly recommend first a twin screw supercharger like Kenne Bell or Whipple, and if that's not available then an Eaton TVS. Skip the Roots style, they suffer from heatsoak far more than any other supercharger.

    Forget superchargers, if you're going to add some forced induction that 4v will LooveE a turbo.

    I haven't any 3V to 4V conversions with turbos on our trucks before. I have only heard of one guy with an STS turbo on his 5.4 3V motor on another forum but that's about it.

    Not going to debate as to which is better, but I've seen some twin turbo 5.4 3V Mustangs that push the 800HP+ range.

    With that kind of power your buddy should be slaying supercars at the strip. Better have forged guts in that 408 Windsor to be running that kind of boost. That is just insane. I think anything over 800HP would be too much on the street. Too much temptation to get into trouble, that is!

    Modular motors have been proven continuously to take very well to forced induction, both supercharging and turbocharging.
