How do the electric lockers work on the 12th gens? More specifically the switch for the E-locker? I was wondering if the switch is just a switch and not wired into the PCM or the transmission PCM
I think its all part of the PCM's. You would have to look at a 12th gen swap thread to find more. I remember reading a few in the past but dont remember exactly what was changed aside from the switch in the dash and the addition of the locker.
it's all in the pcm. Lots of guys have tried changing it because the anti-spin kicks on above 30mph even with the switch off and a bunch of other e-nonsense.
If you are thinking about doing it in yours, I would just go with an air locker, less crap to deal with
Just get a Detroit tru-trac.. Easier.. Acts as a standard limited slip most of time but is right enough it's equal to a locker Smokin' Tires with my 5.0 on Tapatalk
probably, was just thinking I could find the 12th gen axle's with 4.10 gears and e-locker and do a quick swap without out breaking my diffs open. possibly cheaper too.
Yup, I'm upgrading my rear differential to a Tru Trac later on when I have more money. My clutches are s**t to hell and it's like I have an open differential now. Yeah, I think the ARB lockers are some of the best, but they're quite expensive and generally overkill unless you see some serious dirt.
