You have more power but can't to anymore legally Actually less since the extra weight of the motor and axle take from you payload and gvwr
A 250 bigger than a 150 hands down. plus a 150 would weigh less and possibly have more power/torque ratio on a 150 vs 250. However if I were to want to do something crazy with a diesel, I would put it in a Ranger or a car and have it be mid engined. a 7.3 is a big engine, I dont know the power output of a 4bt is but they all gotta be hheeaavvyyyyy
That's a valid point. Plus a half ton simply isn't designed to tow a lot of weight. It would be super hard on the truck I'm sure. I'll bet cops up here wouldn't give half a shat about if it was legal or not. Only thing they care about is if your truck has the name of A.D. business on the side then they'll harass you. Logistically it's not worth it, but like I said I prefer the looks of 150 but the towing power of a diesel Sent from my SCH-R760 using Tapatalk 2
Its not nearly as much as you would think. Less than 4" in every direction. 1999 F-250 Short Bed SuperCab Wheelbase: 141.8" Width: 80" Height: 76.6" kbb.com 1999 F-150 Short Bed Supercab Wheelbase: 138.5" Width: 78.4" Height: 73" kbb.com
I'm curious as to mpg in a 10th gen diesel, they seem like they'd be great aero and if you had an efficient drivetrain
the 4cyl out of an izuzu NPR would be perfect. Alot smoother than a 4bt, and doesn't have the fanboy craze/high prices of anything cummins. Certainly small and light enough to put in a f150.
Why not just stick a eco boost motor in one and call it quits? Not a diesel, but about as close as you'll get in a gas motor.
Way expensive and you have all the electronic junk to swap over And the transmission... sent from my igloo
