Forgot to post these pics I took. Studs that are in the headers bolt to these collectors which is where my o2s are plugged in at. No cats, then these pipes run back into my x pipe and rest of exhaust. Here's what happened.... As you can see, one stud fell out completely and the other one lost the nut. Dont know how because the other side is fine.
So I reselaed my back window yesterday because it has been leaking forever. I figured I messed it up the first time I put the slider in.. Got off work this morning and after the condensation started to run off, sure enough its still leaking. Same spot. I used a whole bottle of silicone on that ***** and she leaks.. Could it be the seal between the actually glass and the perimeter plastic it goes on or do I just have bad luck? I thought i had a solid bead because it actually spewed out when I tightened the window in...
What kind of sealant did you use? Usually silicone isn't what you want, you'll want to use a 3m auto window sealant. It sucks to use cause it tries to get everywhere but it's the way to go. Guessin the silicone isn't bonding to the painted surface of the truck between cab, seal, window an water is sneaking by
3m window weld is what you need. clean everything off as best as you can so the **** will seal. I used almost the entire tube of that window weld ****. did my window twice, first time I didn't use enough. no problems yet.
I just used a weatherproof 100% silicone sealant I found at the hardware store. It said its for glass and would stick to just about anything so i figured it would work. Ill have to pick some different stuff up and take a closer look at things thanks for the replies.
window weld is like $25 for a tube, all you need is one tube. put a THICK bead in the little channel that runs around the whole window. youll have some squeeze out so watch what you touch or your backseat will look like mine
