IAC is your idle air control. its on the back of your intake. two bolts, I think theyre 10mm. there is a paper gasket around the opening as well.

I did have the problem before switching the wires and plugs. I haven't messed with the IAC yet but I'll check it out this weekend

I don't think the IAC is the entire problem though unfortunately. gotta start somewhere. check all rubber hoses for sure man. could even get a small bottle of propane and waive it around the engine with the truck running, thatll find a vacuum leak in a heart beat. I would definitely waive it near the EGR to see if you've got a leak there.

It sounds stupid but make sure all your COP got plugged in all the way. Sometimes they need an extra nudge to fully seat and get a good connection. I've done it before.

^^^^^^ that is a good thing to check for sure, it happened to me. the stupid plastic clip actually broke, had to tape one of mine.

just imagine how annoying it is putting them clips together all day on the line...it sucks lol

I would Take of the whole throttle boddy and clean it and the IAC.

Also while the truck is running to test the egr put a long hose on the top of the egr valve and apply vaccumm (just suck on it) and if it idles down you need to Replace the dpfe sensor for the egr code. If it doesn't idle down replace the whole egr. After all that take your battery cable off and put back on then see what codes pop up after a little bit of miles.

Coil on plug. Got it. I'm pretty sure that that's not it seeing as how I had the problem before I changed the plugs and wires. I'll check on it though because it can't hurt.

Your IAC should definitely be replaced, it may be throwing some of the other parameters off and causing more issues.
