Check your motor mounts, transfer case, u joints on the front driveline, might as well check the back while your at it. Cross member for the transmission,
    both cv axles

I doubt its the trans. it doesn't clunk when I put it into reverse, in fact, if I let it roll in reverse I have no noise until I touch the pedal. even if I hit the pedal softly there isn't any noise. something is moving.

transmission cross member was replaced a few months ago as well as the trans support on top of the cross member.

no the noise is fairly new.

the reason I replaced the trans support was because the original on was cracked and I had a clunk sometimes in drive, the trans would shift. replaced the parts and problem solved. now that I think about it the sound seems similar. I did check the mount to see if it was tight and everything is good.

Gas pedal and fairly new noise.
One would assume drive line issue.
Seems like the last repair was front
    brakes correct?
