Carl, did you score those for like free or damn near free??? If you were buying spares to have spares why not buy stockers? I've never needed a spare taillight (knock on wood) in the 11 years I've had my truck. Seems a bit over cautious Sent from my iPhone 5 using Tapatalk
I need spare taillights once Bought tinted LED for my girlfriends cummins and one literally fell out Driving down te highway Tinted a set of stockers and will never buy LED ones again
I guess I am just over cautious, since on my 91 f150 I got the same tail lights but I also have the original taillights. so I am over cautious. and the ones on my 91 f150 actually look good on there compared to these ones I just bought
Thinking about picking up a spare bed. Probably store it in the current bed I learned my lesson on those aftermarket "Alteeza" style lights. I picked up a pair back in like 2006. They looked atrocious after I installed em. Ended up taking off like a day later and getting my money back. Sent from my iPhone 5 using Tapatalk
ok, so if it aint to cold when I get back in another 4 weeks, I am going to do the Harley mod on my tail lights (grand ma been in hospital and I have been taking her, so didn't have much time) What temp and how long do you put it in the oven for, and what type of sealant do I use and do I need to scrap out the old sealant? do need help on this, never tried anything like this before. Also planning on doing the headlights also, so need help on that
I broke my LED tails trying to open them up... I would just find some niteshade and paint the outside, then run LED bulbs inside.
No! *slaps wrist* Throw them in the oven at about 230* for 10 minutes. For taillights it takes a few tries. Took me 3 or 4 times putting them back in the oven. Take your time, don't use a screwdriver or you will crack them. Heat up, slowly pull on the corners. Scrape as much of the old sealant as possible, there's not much in there just a thin layer, For reselling I just used black silicone. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
