the issue I had with a vacuum leak was a horrible idle, it would stumble at take off but the truck would run great when driving. the rubber hose that went to the plenum had a big rip in it.
Oh ok. Yeah, I had a vacuum leak in our Expedition and it was exactly like u described. This time, once it recovers or at start up, it idles great, no problem. I am going to look at the IAC and get back. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
does it only happen when it's cold or when the engine is warmed up? The torque convertor doesn't lock if the fluid isn't warm enough point to the IAC valve. If the fluid is warm then more than likely danny is right about the torque convertor
It usually happens after the truck warms up. Starts up fine and no stalls at stops for several miles. Seems worse after a good amount of highway miles Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Ok. I haven't had time to work on my truck ( meaning a whole afternoon bc I don't quite know what I'm doing), so I took it to a shop near my office to have the "fuel injection service" done bc it included cleaning the TB. Got the truck back at lunch and it has not had a problem with abt 30 mins of driving around. Is this something I need to pull the battery cable for a few mins when I get home for the system to re-learn anything? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Yeah! So far so good! Thank y'all so much for the input and the advice. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
