I am wanting to remove my cats and i have heard all sorts of things about the o2 sensors some have problems some don't what should i do to keep my truck from running rough? i am removing at least 2 of the cats no matter what.
what is your reason for removing the cats? you wont see any performance gains from removing them. welcome to the forum by the way!
I believe you can remove the rear two without issues, but removing the forward pair will throw a CEL Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk
Hollow them out, and screw some spark plug non fouler's on them. how to trick that pesky o2 sensor - Ford F150 Forum - Community of Ford Truck Fans
they are starting to get clogged and rattle and with school i really don't want to spend the money to buy new or highflows. if i do remove all four will it make the truck run like crap??
I cut out my rear cats and just disconnected my rear 02s, it throws a code but doesn't affect how the truck runs. I only did it for the sound, I ran rear cat deletes into straight pipes turned down under the cab.... It's loud enough that when I hit the gas I can't see what kind of car is in my rear view because it makes the entire truck vibrate. I love it but the girlfriend isn't too crazy about it when I leave her house at midnight, so all I did was throw a 10 series flowmaster on and it helped quiet it down a little (still louder than having all four cats and straight pipes, ran that for a while)
