I'm so paranoid about salt causing
rust I wash my truck
2-3 times a week even going near the salt
water in Florida.

 

did a little work with trying to tackle my misfire issue.

still no CEL. changed bank #2 plugs. plugs were a little over gapped, installed all new Motorcraft plugs with proper gapping on that bank. I also cleaned my MAF. issue remained.

I have a new fuel filter and I plan on getting the other 4 plugs in later tonight or tomorrow morning before work.

im starting to think I may have gotten some bad fuel the last time I filled up. let the truck run for about 2 hours this morning, still has a little hiccup it seems like at times but it runs way better. especially when I get on the gas.

before the idle was horrid and shook like mad when driving, I had to turn OD cause it was so bad.

ill fill up tomorrow with premium just to clean the system out. might be a little pricey.

 

How many miles are on your truck? This may sound crazy, but it is a possibility; have you actually hooked a code reader to your truck? My girlfriends jeep didn't have a CEL on but I was chasing a few problems and decided to hook my code reader up for kicks and sure enough there were 3 codes... Her CEL bulb was actually burnt out. Its most likely not the case, but it might not hurt to check before you go crazy over it.

 

ive got 132k miles on the truck, I did hook my scanner up to it, multiple times actually. not a single code.

 

you might want to just buy some octane booster it may be cheaper than buying premium.

 

ill have to see what the price of premium is. I don't even know.

truck is running great today with unleaded.

it had to be the gas.
