My truck is making a strange humming noise.

I actually just did that a few weeks ago. Can't hurt to do it again though.

Alright, I'll clean it today and see if anything changes. Video should be public now as well. Not sure why it set itself to private.

I pulled the air filter off last night while it was making the noise, and as soon as I stuck my fingers a bit inside the opening to the intake the noise went away.

I guess IAC would kind of make sense, as I only get the noise at when my foot is off the gas (coasting or sitting still idling).

 

Sounds like an iac to me, the actual valve on the inside of mine was pretty much in pieces but still all there and would make the same/similar noise for 10-15 seconds and then go away (only at idle or once I left my foot off the gas and coast).

 

I cleaned it out real good. The little valve/spring thing seems to move alright, although I dont know how much it's supposed to move. We'll see how it goes the next few days.
