Supposedly it's worth 20-30 hp and a boss intake is even more. No idea on the cobra jet intake though

Where are you finding this stuff? Im wondering how people used them without alternator issues. Guy on another forum is doing a 4v swap and hes been wondering the tq difference between using the two intakes to see if itd be worth it.

    I also found this..

There was a link in a thread in a modded mustangs thread, went to another mustang forum. I'll try to find it again, it's hard to tell cause mobile very forum looks identical, about the alternator though, you can use them with the spacers, clears by about 1/4". Others moved the alternator and built brackets

Then im guessing my only issue would be to frankenstein the vaccuum lines to it and get my throttle cables/cruise control attached to the throttle body... which I would also need the throttle body for the intake and then have to frankenstein the air filter and such to that.

So which coyote intake to choose....

Also theres a guy who can custom make me cams and springs for $1500. He said hed go with a 220/218 duration installed at 104/106.

Also said I wont have ptv issues with a 5.4 and that i shouldnt get anything higher than a 230ish duration or id be losing low end.

The only thing is for the price of intakes an cams and everything you're almost better off just cruising mustang sites an eBay an craigslist waitin for a supercharger take off a cobra. I was looking at the prices of boss intakes plus adapters and geez it's more than I thought haha

Yup. 500 for intake and 500 for adapters then all the pieces to make it work together intake wise. Then throw another $1500 at cams and damn. Lot of money. Im in no rush to build it though so to have such a unique engine kind of excites me.

They make adapter plates. Just need to hunt them down.

Look in Craigslist in San Antonio Tx.
I found three you can use.

Well after reading that long thread about the 4v 5.4 intake options.. im still undecided lol

Looks to me like the boss 302 intake is for high rpm high hp engines while leaving torque and midrange numbers alone. The stock 5.0 intake seems to get the job done all around with higher mid range/ torque numbers but it requires me to relocate the alternator which im not too sure about.

Thinking about sticking with the stock octopus intake...
