I have a vacuum line that appears to plug into the back of the IAC who's rubber end is dry rotted and broke free. Does anyone know what the rubber piece is called and where to get one? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Most likely the pcv hose. Does it wrap around and go into the passenger side valve cover? If so its pcv valve hose. They often get dry rotted and cause vacuum leaks. Whole piece can be replaced from Ford dealer for about $30-$40.
Still have an issue everybody even Ford shows the rubber piece at the intake as an elbow, and my elbow is built into the tube. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Yeah the elbow is built into the tube and the pcv valve is built into the tube. You have to buy the whole piece and then its just a matter of putting it on there.
There is no elbow. The part I need should be a straight rubber piece from the vacuum line into the rear of the intake. Everyone wants to sell me an elbow. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
any chance we can get a picture? might help a little. im having an issue picturing what you speak of lol. with those rubber hoses you can use any small heater hose you can find at the auto store as long as its the right diameter. That's what I did to replace almost all of my vac lines.
I had to buy the whole assembly from the pcv valve to the rear of the intake. Ford used my VIN# and apparently my truck was an experimental model, similar to the lightning but it is an xlt. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
