Since I leveled my truck last summer ive been wanting to lift the rear end a little bit so that when i tow my four wheelers and boat around it wont be sagging in the rear. So ive been looking at either replacing the stock lift block with a bigger one or buying and add a leaf kit. What do you guys think? Is there a brand that is better than the rest? Is installing an add a leaf an easy task or is it pretty difficult, Ive never tore apart a rear suspension before.
add a leaf IMO. it will add more payload (by maybe 1-200 lbs) but only lift it maybe 1/2-3/4". a block is usually cheaper, measure out how much lift you need, then add the height of the stock block and thats the size you need. brands: I like rough country. need something made out of solid steel. I have had alunimum and its broken before.
add a leaf is what I would do for customers, but another cheap way is just do a bigger block. fab tec #bk15 and u bolts. we sell stuff for the rear for about a hundred bucks
A block isn't that much cheaper than an AAL, and you get a better payload with AAL, and less axle wrap
