Hey there y'all! I know they are not the most desirable trucks ever built, but I have a 99 F-250 with a 5.4 and a 5 speed 4x4. I'm just curious if anyone has modded one of these at all, if so, what do you have?

I really like mine so far. I've had two others in the past, a 7.3 and a 6.0, as you can guess, I loved the 7.3 hated the 6.0! I ran across this current one for a pretty good deal, just would like to do a little something to it, like a program, exhaust, CAI etc.

Exhaust was fairly easy for my F250,
except the down pipe clamp, but I'm a 7.3

Exhaust will be a breeze, just a simple cat back. I have found a programmer for it, it's an edge handheld. I just find it hard to justify the cost for them on a gasser when you don't get a lot of gain. At least by the numbers, a friend of mine put an edge in his 06 F-150 5.4 and it improved it tremendously, so I don't know what I want to do for sure, just not much out there for mine.

MPG gains over the long haul justifies the
    initial cost.
I know my Bully Dog chip has paid for itself
many times over in fuel savings since 2003.

Diesel was 97 cent a gallon when I bought this 7.3

That down pipe clamp!!! 2 hours!!

I think it was Ricky who had a super charged 5.4 superduty. That thing was a monster. He's long gone though. I would start with the programmer though, the edge helps quite a bit.
