They're from Hedman. They hit in 4 different places, two of which are frame. Was your truck manual or auto? I'm pretty curious as to how you got them in there. My dad claims he's done them before as well on one of his old trucks. He said the only difference was it was an auto, and this is a 4 speed.

I really want to use the headers, I just see no way of getting them to squeeze in there past the motor.

It is auto, C6.
Power steering, manual brakes.
Ones I used are FlowTech headers.

 

Question for anyone with some carburetor knowledge. The truck is getting way too much gas. To the point of not starting. Pinch the fuel line and it fires right up and runs until it runs out of fuel. It won't start with the fuel line open, it just floods out. Pinch the fuel line, start it, and un-pinch the fuel line and the truck immediately dies. Way too much fuel.

I know if the float is stuck or doesn't work
flooding can occur.
If ya pull it apart to check the float,
ya may as well get a rebuild kit.

 

Pulled it apart a few minutes ago. Both floats operated correctly.

How about the needle and seats?
Metering jets control fuel flow,
floats regulate fuel amount in fuel bowl
accelerator pump gives more gas under engine load.

 

Over pressure can cause flooding.
I didn't recall ya upgraded the fuel pump?

 

I looked at the floats but not the needles. My dad looked at the needles and said they looked fine, but I don't think he knows what he's talking about half the time. We didn't change the fuel pump.

The truck ran great when we disassembled the motor. We didn't touch the carb or the fuel system at all.

Maybe it is time to find a rebuild kit.
