It started Saturday morning as a slight hiss/whine. Almost sounded like i had a turbo haha. Well this morning on the way to work it was fine, I put it in reverse to back in to my spot and the steering gets hard and starts to vibrate/make noise. Look under the truck and it's pouring power steering fluid everywhere. Coming out of the rack itself. Sooo new power steering pump? I'm guessing I busted a seal in the R&P? Sounds like your pump is blown. The 04-07.had a tsb out in regards to the seals, but Ford won't do anything but charge $500 to change it. sent from my igloo
I guess since the pump is connected to the R&P that's why it's pouring out there? The 04 curse lives on Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Well I dropped it off at Ford so I'm prepared to pay an arm and a leg. I just really didn't feel like messing with it myself especially when I don't know for sure what it is Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Sell it and get a 03 king ranch screw. Seriously though that sucks, sorry to her about that man. Maybe it will turn out to be something simple and cheap.
I should get them to replace my timing chain and tensioner while it's there haha. Another problem on the list Edit: power steering pump and steering rack both have major leaks... Replacing both plus an alignment = arm and leg plus kidney Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
