talked to a friends dad he said way back in theyd use a lift and lower it onto the spring, use bailing wire to keep it compressed and then do what they needed. yeah thats a death trap

the spring compressor worked fine today, the strut however did not cooperate. Had another run in with my great luck today. Pulled the strut assembly off, put both compressors on and hit them with an impact and compressed the spring. The nut that holds the strut to the top cap which holds it all together would not come off. I tried everything. the square stub on the end of the threads that you use to hold, that rounded off, wrenches didn't fit, vise grips just made it worst, the nut itself was seized onto the threads causing the shaft of the strut to spin. I even tried putting vise grips on the shaft itself and it didn't work. Ended up having to cut the threads off.... so now i need a whole new strut :Grenade:

    This truck is seriously cursed

especially with the retarded ass nylon locking bolts that came with the struts. me and my dad spent an hour trying ideas and whatever we did the shaft just kept spinning with the nut
