I posted this earlier today, my rim is shattered, and tire was torn up a bit too so I had to go and order some new wheels and tires. I didn't go fancy or anything since my truck is sitting at Schwab on a couple jack stands. I was going to get some 18s but the price was just too much and considering I need all new rear brakes, and studs on the passenger rear not to mention the tow bill my wheel budget went bye bye. So I went to discount and ordered up some cheaper 16s with some of the new Bfg ATs. I went with these thinking they would look pretty decent and they'll be easy to clean and theyre powder coated so I won't have to deal with the aluminum pitting. They're not my dream wheels but they're better than what I have. My truck will be done tomorrow and I can pick up the wheels in the morning, hopefully Schwab will throw them on for me, otherwise I'll spare tire it home and put them on. I was going to do wheels and tires in the fall and do my suspension now but it looks like wheels and tires now and suspension in the fall ha ha. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Yeah man, I don't know why it happened. I always torque them to a snug 175-180 as recommended. I re did the rear brakes like 3 months ago, if I forgot to torque them they would have snapped way sooner. It's all good though, It didn't fugg up my bed, I felt it vibrating so I pulled over and the snapped right as I was pulling over so I was only going like 10mph, I was on the freeway 2 mins before that so it could have been a lot worse. I was going to get new wheels and tires anyway, so all things considered it's working out pretty well. Hopefully I can get reimbursed for some stuff through insurance, I'll know that later today. Thanks man. Just got a call, wheels and tires are ready, just need to wait for the wife to get home so we can go and get them and take them to Schwab. Hopefully I'll drive it out of there relatively soon. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The discount wheels sucked, the guy told me the offset would be what I had, but they weren't. So I returned them and went with the 18x9 fuel hostages and the 35x12.5 Toyo at IIs that Schwab quoted me. Paid a bit more but I'm happier. They don't stick out as much as I wanted but anything with anymore of of offset was special order and wouldn't be in for a week and I didn't have. A week to wait. What do you guys think? Flares? Or no flares? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
