So I'm ready to replace my oil pan. Found a pinhole and it's barfing all over my street. Any advice? I've read that you need to unbolt the motor mounts and lift the engine up a bit...mine is only 2wd so can I get away with not doing that? Cuz I'm doing this by myself and I don't like the idea of that

Not sure on what the underside looks like especially on a 2wd OBS.

You might be able to just drain the oil and drop the pan since there is no front axle there but there may also be a crossmember of some sort in the way.

Starter should be a pretty easy fix though.

The dropping motor mount sounds like the way to go.
Blocks of wood to support machined bolt boss areas on the sides of the engine block
Is how I've seen it done on other engines when changing the oil pan.

I need a 1/4" more of clearance to get this damn thing out... got the motor jacked up with a bunch of blocks of wood and the tires deflated all the way. Starter went on without a problem

Well its done....starts on the first crank. I put some cardboard under it to see if there's any other small leaks, but I think it should be dry from now on. Took me a long time because I had to wait for my brother to get home with a transmission jack but once we got that it was smooth sailing.
Don't have any pics of the actual process (I was a bit occupied) but I will take some of the aftermath tomorrow.

Not fair, you have smooth gravel to lay on.

Oil leak is so much better it's not even funny. Went from leaking a spot the size of a basketball in an hour to a quarter size overnight.
In the 2ish months that I've owned it the street looks like this

And last night it leaked this

I'm quite happy with the results

Gave blue a good wash today. Also got my lights in the mail. Thinking I'm gonna mount em directly to the bumper. Any thoughts?
