That's what she's hoping for, a car that'll last an easy 10 years. There's gotta be some reason subaru owners continue to buy subarus, and it's certainly not because they're fun

The impreza actually wasn't bad to drive, although the steering could be quicker. I only drove it for a couple miles though.

The same reason Accord and Camry owners keep coming back for the same car. They're reliable and low maintenance. The Accord and Subaru have pretty decent resale value too. Not sure on the Camry as I'm just not a Toyota fan at all. I just do not like their vehicles. I know people love the Camry but that has to be one of the boring sedans on the market, but people buy em as fast as they can build em. That said, it's hard to knock the Camry when you see em all over the place with 100k + miles on them and the owners have never had an issue with them. Same applies to the Corolla. Man what a boring ass little econobox but they last and last lol.

She'll easily get 10 years out it. Hell my wife's 09 Altima had almost 200K on it and if she'd not been in the wreck I know it would've easily passed the 10 year mark. That car ran as good as it did when we bought it. Minus a few rattles here and there it was a solid car. Really hated seeing them total it.

Yeah they're reliable because they're boring.

Most people aren't mechanically inclined so they want reliable above all else. Their car is like a coffee maker to them.

The rest of us are okay with repairs and such if it means driving enjoyment.

Yep, can't beat a brand new car with a warranty. My sister finally got a full time job orthodontist assistant with a 45 min commute. Her 2000 explorer was getting tired and just not cutting it anymore. She still has it to drive her dogs and whatnot, but the Subaru will help keep her fuel and maintenance costs down.

Nothing wrong with that. Got myself in a little better income bracket and bought a 2 year old car with an extended warranty.

Wasn't quite ready for brand new yet. lol. Maybe next time.

I don't drive it to work since it's too nice but I'm thankful for it when I have to go somewhere, like my oral surgeon 45 minutes away.

Going new next time for sure...love my GTI but it has...gremlins. Though that could be more to do with being German than being used.

    Saw this '32 Plymouth today.

Having owned several VW's I can tell you it's a VW thing more than anything. I love em, and I hate em, but damn they're fun to drive! lol
