I know people have replaced points style systems with Pertronix electronic points
    in older 351W motors.
I've done this on my 1974 360 FE.

I can understand you wanting do go around the "Duraspark" system currently in place on your 1994.

I'll do some researching on what is available for such a conversion.

    @SPORTSMAN

So in researching the TFI distributor can be replaced with a carb type one (points style).

The difference is in the oil pump drive shaft length and or the drive gear.

In some distributors the oil pump driveshaft is too long and must be shortened.
Depending on which distributor you get the drive gear may be a different size
than the TFI distributor you pulled out. The old drive gear must be pressed off the original
distributor and pressed onto the replacement distributor.

This a pic of the TFI distributor (Electronic)

This is a pic of a possible points style
    distributor you want.

Pay close attention to the drive gear size and the length of the oil pump drive
with a hollow dog inside the bottom of the distributor shaft.

Me personally having fought points style systems over the years I replaced
mine with a Pertronix kit and kept the points as a backup in case the
Pertronix failed (Never has in 26 years).
Also put Pertronix in my straight 6
Mercruiser boat engine, no moisture to
foul points any more, even after spraying with WD40 they would still foul.

You can get a HEI type distributor that has the coil built into the top of the cap,
but I always liked the separate coil setup.

Best of both, getting the TFI distributor out
and the "Durasark" spark box delete, but
using electronic Pertronix points instead of a dual points mechanical breaker points.

I haven't seen a dual mechanical points distributor for
a 351W, not saying they don't exist, just I've not seen one.

When I worked as manager in training at the big chain parts store
we sold a lot of those Ford spark boxes due to failure from the factory OEM
    supplier.
