I have the halogen headlights on my 2018 and was curious about updating them to the led style. I have a couple of questions: 1. How much of an improvement are the LED over the halogen? 2. How to Choose the Best LED Headlights? Thanks!!!
https://www.theretrofitsource.com/ What happened between you and sealight ? Did you just return those 9006 or they argue with you about the dual beam output ? @NicKlaus
Look for 15,000 lumens. Anything higher output will glare oncoming vehicles. Also a 6500 kelvin temp is white color and if you want a stock looking color go for lower kelvin. LED's are 200x much brighter and has low wattage power consumption. And a cut beam pattern that focuses on the road.
The projectors are the way to go. LED fit into a standard housing reflect the light in a wider scattered pattern vs an incandescent bulb. There are new design LED that focus the beam pattern better, it is rolling the dice with aftermarket LED replacements that are universal fit even if they say it has that specific tight pattern. Price doesn't mean tight pattern either. Most don't want to take on the project of oven heating their only set of factory housings to unseal, custom fit projectors, seal the backs and reseal the lens covers. Time gone and headaches if they leak. Get a junk set to practice on first, just the unseal and reseal with lesser grade sealant before tackling the real deal project. YouTube has helpful videos.
