So I hope this is the right area! I am new to this forum but have been a part of FSB and TigéOwners forums for a long time. Sold my 1992 Bronco a couple years ago (regretting it now) but am looking to pick up a high mileage vehicle in the form of an F-150. Looking for some feedback from the forum before I pull the trigger. Below is a link on one I am considering. I am curious what y’all think as well as if you recommend something else? Also curious how many miles have you seen on these motors. Attached is a VIN pic so you can find out more information about this truck. IMG_1398.jpg

Let me know what ya think. I have not driven it yet but out of all the ones I have seen this one has me the most intrigued. I will put no more than 1K miles a year. Using the truck to launch an old ski boat in my back yard. I wanna buy local and have about a $5K budget. Want the 4x4 due to the launch ramp being slippery and the lake goes up and down causing me to launch on some wet surfaces.

Thanks all and let me know if I need to post elsewhere!

    Cheers!

    Mike

How many miles is on it? Any more details?

The 06+ trucks are much better, but not sure if you can find one in your price range.

I ended up going with a 2003. Had a few issues with a leaking headers gasket. Replaced back to stock manifolds. And I had an issue with 4x4 which turned out to be vacuum hoses that had deteriorated. Overall it’s a good looking truck and I’m not driving it except when it’s time to take the boat in/out. Thanks! Hope so too! Going to put a catalytic converters back on it to. Picked up a universal Magnaflow one. Someone deleted it way back and I just prefer to have things a little quieter. Has a nice magnaflow muffler so the cat and muffler together should have it sounding better than stock still. Just not crazy about super loud exhausts anymore. Not as cool as when I was in my teens and early twenties I guess.

Thanks man. Was worried I paid too much for it but I could see the value that others wouldn’t. I just love a lifted truck too. And I would never pay to do it myself... again that is. Lol
