Once the axle stub shaft has unseated the splines you can rotate the wheel
bearing assembly downward to pull the stub shaft from the backside out.
Resting the CV boot on a rag to prevent damage.

    The seal removal is next.
Thing was a PITA to get out due to dissimilar metallosis and
corrosion from this vehicle being in service in PA from
    Homeland Security.

Replaced the stub axle circlip while it was out.
Had a hard time getting the seal to seat even putting Red and Tacky
in the bore with no room to swing a hammer on the hollow cup seal driver.
I still have to remove the vehicle side of the toe link.

Made a long handle seal driver my wife hit 5 times and drove it home while
I held the seal drive under the vehicle on the seal at the diff.

All hardware came in the mail Saturday from Orange City, Florida,
    not a Ford Stealership.

So I am waiting for a Rotunda service tool, a bearing protector to
guarantee the new seal isn't damaged during reassembly
that they wanted $177.33 for + shipping.
I was not going to pay that crazy price and found it much cheaper
    including shipping.

Last thing I want to do is nick the new double lip seal during axle
stub install and find out it leaks and have to tear it all back down again.

More updates as I progress to finishing this and new rear/front brake pads.

Stub axle circlip was giving me a fit.
Come to find out the part I ordered for fordpartsgiant isn't the correct one.
Labeled for 3.7L they sent a round circlip that wouldn't lock in the diff gear.
I put the old circlip on and first push in, it locked.

Cleaned up the old sealant from the diff cover and now the fun part of cleaning
the diff housing where there is no room to work. That black bent metal part is an exhaust hanger
for 4 cylinder Ecoboost models and is bent up on the V6 ones. Think I will cover the diff and just air saw it off.

Checked the vent with the other one on the used diff I bought and the function similarly.
It is as if they have a rubber check valve inside to prevent water or dirt from entering the diff housing.
    Check vent made by Armelite.

The service writer told me the diff had to be removed from the vehicle to fix the leaking diff cover...
I think his tech lied to him.

Found out the name of the Service Manager today.

    Axle in.
Upper link, shock mount, toe link, sway bar link all installed and torqued to proper specs.

Rear caliper requires wind back tool for emergency brake disc combo.

Put new semi metallic pads on.

Have to clean diff mating surface for cover and apply gray oil resistant silicone and assemble within 15 minutes.
