Some neat pre-production assembly line shots. Wonder what the yellow plastic is for?

Ford announcement this morning. Too bad I've never cared for blue vehicles. This is tempting though. It will be between Lightning Blue and Rapid Red come ordering time.

I believe the yellow plastic is 'dent prevention' as it proceeds
    down the assembly line.
Removed and installed on the 'next' to come down production assembly.

Kendall Kenai had a couple. A Big Bend in Area 51 and a Base in Iconic Silver.

I actually like them a lot. It's not my type of vehicle, but I know plenty of people who it would be perfectly suited for. They hit their target demographic perfectly.

They are comfortable, nice interior for the class, and surprisingly roomy. I sat in the Base, At 5'11", with the front seat farther back than I would put it, I sat in the back and still had plenty of space. You could put a couple 6' tall adults in the back of one no problem.

Roomy cargo area and the flood lights on the underside of the hatch are really cool.

Only real problem is unless you step all the way up to the badlands you are stuck with the 1.5L(?) 3 cylinder. Badlands is the only trim to get the 2.0.

Orders opened for the big Bronco this week and I got mine submitted. Now it's just a loooong waiting game. I have several "late availability" and potentially delayed options on mine that mean it won't be here until fall at the absolute earliest. If Ford manages to build it this year at all. It's been one problem after another for the big one.
