08 exped. drivers window quit working .replaced motor didnt fix it .replaced switch.all windows work except drivers help!
Welcome @paducahGreg Sometimes it can be a frayed cable inside the cable sheathing of the regulator assembly. Have you checked for power at the motor connection from the wiring harness when the window switches are activated? Check for power with the key switch on, if no power is present at the window motor connection, with switch depressed, check for pins not making contact within the connectors or broken, frayed wiring. You obviously have power at the master switch or the other windows wouldn't work. A PowerProbe Tool is a great asset to have. A common test light will work. I like the low draw LED type. Trace from the switch side and then the motor, if it doesn't reach motor, there is a break in the wiring. Back trace check for continuity of power until you find the spot it stops. If all checks good with the power, it seems to be a mechanical issue then. The regulator itself locked up. A 'new' regulator is, $45 or so. Flea bay, free ship. Used maybe an option from a pull-a-part or salvage yard that will pull it for you.
To second what Roush is saying, check the connectors. My drivers rear window quit working because the wire broke at the pin, inside the molex connector. I had to order an entire new wiring harness since all the wires were starting to fray. Get a voltmeter and make sure that power is making it to the motor. If not, start going backwards to see where it stops. Oh, check fuses also. Sometimes the simple fixes get forgotten
