Received this vehicle when wife's mother passed.
It was given to our son in the will.
He will turn 17 this fall and has learners permit, 6'9"
will fit in there, joked about taking the seat out and driving Shaq style.

I have the new fuel pump here now and will be installing it soon.
Son is as if getting a stubborn mule to the plow with mechanical things.
He did fix the push mower pull cord. Top off, had to show him the rope
in recoil hat rewind spring trick and reassembly.

Put everything back on except air filter on backwards, he did great.
Needs to work on hand tool skills and wrench/socket sizing.

Vic with be a good 1st car for him. Plenty of power and solid surroundings.
Ford's Panther car Platform was a great Engineering idea, not great on
fuel economy, it did what it was intended.

I will always have a soft spot for these cars. My grandparents had a Mercury Grand Marquis for years. I wouldn't be opposed to having one in the driveway.

And holy crap 6'9" that limits your vehicle choices a bit!

Wife told me that 'bowtie' trucks had more leg room.

I said: "You know how I feel about that ..."

I've been down and out health wise recently.
Just now getting back in the groove.

The Vic is top priority for Summer.
Have Title and new plates done this past week.
Fuel Pump going in Next week between Dr. Appointments (2).

I'll get a pic up of it.

Son is going to friend's house for swim party with school mates today.

Told him to invite them here to swim.

    Moved to back burner.
Wife's Explorer Interceptor had resistor fan controller go out.

Meanwhile, kitchen fridge died after 20 years.
She wanted stainless side by side again.

Son has 1 weekend to go on 4 week driver's ed, then in car learning.

Heat wave has broke after Ida passed.
    80's now.

All of my stuff has been back burnered lately, but I did manage to finally knock out my brother's paint job...

It was tough to get done, my mom was sick and passed in the middle of the job... services in two states, and then I caught West Nile while in Arkansas...
