Don't need a Jack, just pry up on the steering shaft that the pitman presses on to... your looking for play in and out of the box, there should be a tiny bit like you can feel it but not see it, mine was like a half inch
I used a big curved pry bar and pryed against the crossmember if ya ain't got a wicked curved bar throw a block or 2 of wood on the xmember and pry against that
Hahaha! I was all over that thing today like a bear on a Snickers bar! It took some force to find that play...
itd be some crazy s**t if thats it but im just hopin its tires haha....they were s**t when i got em ive tried to even em all out
If they ain't balanced out, you'll get a shake n shimmy at a set speed... if they're jumping like mine I'd say start wiggleing yer tie rods, idler arm, pitman, steering box, etc just to check before ya drop money on tires just to find that ya still got problems like I did
It took months to finally chase it out and Idk if I'm all the way out of the woods on this one but it looks promising
well i need new tires anywho haha but ive replaced all ball joints and pitman so it leaves box, tie rods, and idler
