Crawled under the truck for a first time good look to find leaks ect... and my torsion bars are adjusted differently. The drivers side is about 3/8" from head to bushing and the passenger side is about 7/8" from head to bushing, why the difference and could this be the reason behind my 40-45mph wobble? I found the bushings in the sway bar are really loose gonna replace the whole setup on both sways now (got the parts). Bushing setup replaced, steering a little tighter still have wobble.
the torsion bars are used to level out your truck side to side they should not be cranked the same. if u take a tape measure to your fender wells they should be the same side to side
yea i would equal them out. and my sway bar links are the same way. it sounds like a cup of change junglin whenever i go over a bump
its that way to adjust for the extra weight on the drivers side. like the gas tank and driver? mine is the same way, but im even side to side.
Okay, thanks for the info, I measured the top of fenderwell peaks and both are at 37", I also measured my front bumper tow hooks, both are 16 1/4" off the pavement. So I guess that means my problem lies elsewhere, do I jack from the frame or yoke to check for wheel play?
to check for wheel play like ball joints wheel bearings ect. i would jack up by the frame off the truck
