They were standard on all 1st gen Harleys. They're not really steps, they're classified as style tubs. I agree, they look like shat on a truck that low. They actually look cool on a 2/4, 3/5 drop, but pancaked out not so much.
for some reason it doesnt look as if it lays frame?....hmmmm i wonde edit* the front crossmember prolly isnt re sessed or how ever you spell it so its sitting high up front cuz of that, i forgot not everyone does that
and thats sick minus the bed.... they only look good on lifted truck imo but what do you know haters gonna hate lol
