thats what i'm thinking. 125k is alot for the truck on the Original filter. 500 is pretty low. I have mine set at 700 cuz I am runnin NGK spark plugs. Try adjusting that settin in your programmer for Idle @650. If you set that, and the truck still goes to 500, then its not the pcm. I don't think its a PCM anyway. One thing you can do is do as the manual suggests and reset your pcm and then drive 10miles. Atleast then you know you have done everything and its something else. Just a thought... RRogers sounds like he's got you goin in the right direction thats for sure...
ok guys i'm pretty sure that whatever is causing this is a bad PCM or IAC, however if the IAC is controlled electronically will I still be able to remove the motor from the tb and see if it moves? This article says that if I disconnect the IAC I should be able to see it moving when its not connected to the TB http://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-idle-air-control-valve-works am I right or is this a hopeless attempt?
