Lookin into makin a purchase in the next few months prolly. What kind of real world mpg's are you guys getting? I'm more than likely gettin a programmer for it of course, and maybe an exhaust, but thats it for now. Appreciate all your input in advance. Thanks!

Can't speak for the 6.4 but my 7.3 with a edge and exhaust etc (6" lift on 36" MT's) could squeeze 20-21 mpg on the interstate. City driving around 15-16 mpg. I think the 6.4 gets a tad better than that because of the higher power ratings it has.

thats good to know boss. i can easily be happy w/ those numbers. I do 38 miles on the hwy, 10 city. So 17-18 would be really nice. Get me 5 days of driving easily, which means I wouldnt have to fill up 2 times a week like i do now. sweeeeet.

yea, I had heard that just simply doing the DPF delete along w/ a tune, you can easily get upwards of 21+mpg combined city/hwy, but I also know that if you do the DPF delete, you just voided your warranty. So I would be waiting until my warranty ran out to do that mod, but definitely glad to hear another SCrew is gettin upwards of 20+. Thanks guys!

Do they still make the 6.4 or do they only make the 6.7 now?

Correct as usual BG. 6.7 "Scorpion" was introduced in the 2011 models. Not for any defects in the 6.4, just them wantin to swap out all engines in trucks for the 2011 models. Plus, who is gonna trade in their 08-10 w/ the same engine just for a face lift? I can't afford a $57k truck, but I can afford a $40k, so thats why I'm wonderin bout the 6.4's. Just a clarification is all.

Yea i grew up with us and alot of friends having the 7.3, you can get some dang good mpg's out of em. I was under the impression the newer motors weren't as good though. Although i have nothing to back that lol. I know one buddy of mine with the 6.0 only gets like 11 mpg, with a tuner and everything....but i think those motors are pretty much a joke all around from what i've heard
