Mine did this once and the hose that goes into the intake manifold in back off it come off and made loud bang don't know bout smoke cuz I shut it off real quick might give it a look
Yeah that's the hose I was talking bout in my first post. These hoses are a hard plastic and can crack in extreme cold when the pcv valve slams shut from the vacuum
Mine didn't crack just blew it off the back and I just put back on and run fine this happend like 5 years ago never happend again
^thats weird cuz its makin vacuum haha maybe gets a backfire into the intake from compression when the intake valves are open while starting? That hose does pull off easy
Ya that's bout what it sounded like a back fire had to be cuz it blew it off and made a loud bang thought I was scewed but easy fix raise hood reconnect hose easiest fix I think I've ever done
Was the smoke you got more of a scentless fog? Compressing air creates heat and will separate water into a gas which will create a fog especially with the temp difference... I guess I'm saying if ya got a backfire from an off start that'd make sense
well it did kind of smell a little burnt which is your theory of the 02 sensor makes sense to me too. i guess teh morning will bring alot of cold and cursing, but i will report back on what i find if i can get my fingers to move
