That's really friggin weird... temp was normal and everything? You really gotta get the ol lady to stop takin yer truck wheelin while you're gone!!! Lol breakin torsion bars, blowin motors Lol!
Haha be hard for her to drive it I take keys to work with me she rather drive her escalde then my load ass truck haha on thing I can think is it was cold that whole week maybe some condensation got in cylinder and seized the piston up or somthing maybe little rust I dunno pissed me off tho and no signs of any problems ran like it always does
Lol, i kid i kid... How'd the cylinder wall look? Any signs of moisture in there? How bout the crank? How did the valves in the head look for cyl #4? There would have to be some sign of what happened. If it were mine I would've taped off the area and there would've been a crime scene investigation lol
haha I used same heads on new motor so no prob there I don't think with vavles and cylinder wall looked fine to me taped off crime seen lmao
Lol! Yeah there's so many things that could've gone wrong there, I woulda had to look at everything directly connected to that piston and figure it out! That woulda bugged the hell outta me!! There had to be slop somewhere on the crank or rings allowing it to slop around or it froze up bad! Was it the new engine that blew the pcv hose out?
The engine blew long after the hose blew off the intake was just giving you somthing to think about haha but know I have a new engine with maybe 9k on it and had it almost 2 years now
Ahh gotcha, just wondering if ya had sticky valves if there was any extreme buildup of pressure and heat... damn man, that's a mindbender... Idk but I wouldn't have slept till I could blame it on something haha
well I have the same valves now I had on the motor the blew but no problems now and doubt heat cuz truck was settin for a week and it was the first time trying to start it when I got home when it happend
Runs fine at shutdown and then retires... I'm gonna speculate again and say the rod bearing was on its way out and landed in a funny spot jamming the crank? Then at startup it failed?
